ABOUT ME

My journey with storytelling started way back to when I was kid growing up Delhi, India. Always making up stories to add to real life incidents to keep my "audience" engaged. Being born in a small town, Kishtwar, in Jammu and Kashmir, India and raised in Delhi gave me the perspective of "small fish in a big pond" quite earlier on in life. Since then I always strived to become a big fish in a bigger pond rather than a smaller one. This grit drove me to fly over to London, UK, the "bigger pond" to study filmmaking at London College of Communication, UAL.
During 2015-2019 in my University I found myself driven towards both the business and creative side of filmmaking. Thus I ended up finding my space in production and direction and set up our production company "Soul For Screen" as soon as I finished my uni. Since then we haven't looked back.
Over the years I have been lucky to have done a lot of fun things. Filming a war film in a paintball field to getting hold of the same house as "Patrick Melrose" series for our short film. Hosting our first premiere at Curzon in Holborn to distributing shorts on platforms such Disney +, Apple TV and Amazon Prime. Working on social ads for brands like Decathalon, Mishipay, Muji, Just Eat, Papa Johns to setting up our VFX team in India. These have certainly been some of my career defining points.
During Covid as the industries shut I shifted our focus towards developing/pitching a TV Show. This experience led to me honing my pitches and connecting with OTT/Broadcasters across India and UK. We pitched to platforms such as Amazon Prime, Netflix, BBC, Channel 4, Sky etc. I then joined a team in Mumbai, India in second half of 2023 as an Associate Producer on an Amazon Prime commissioned series.
Having gained this diverse experience, I am now working across the sectors of commercials/marketing & Film/TV in UK. Stories are what make people either buy a product or ticket to watch a film. As long as that is at the heart of a project, I am in!
